Storytime and Easy Origami (paper folding)
Origami artist and illustrator Linda Stephen will read her picture book The Day We Went to the Park at Plattsmouth Public Library on Saturday July 13, 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Be prepared to twirl around! How many inchworms can you see in the art? Can you dance like a ladybug? What do you see at the park?
Bonus: See the ORIGINAL picture-book illustrations of a Nebraska park – all made from origami paper sculptures.
Craft adventure in origami: Step by step, we will fold colorful papers to make easy animals and flowers. Origami is the Japanese art of folding paper. This program is designed for those new to origami. Recommend adult assistance for those under age 8.
