Easy Origami for All Ages

Join us to learn step by step how to fold papers to make easy origami animals, baskets and boxes. We will also learn about Japanese paper arts. This workshop is designed for beginners of all ages. If you can fold a piece of paper in half, you have the basic paper folding skills needed.

* After the class, visit the Origami Art Exhibit and Reception at 11 a.m. See 2D and 3D origami created during six weeks of origami classes. The exhibit and classes are part of the Creative Arts for the Aging Program, sponsored by the Nebraska Arts Council .

About the instructor: Linda Stephen has taught origami to thousands of people ages 3 to 97. Her art is part of public and private collections around the world. She works with cities, schools and nonprofits to create collaborative community artworks involving hundreds of people. See her art in the award-winning picture book The Day We Went to the Park, available at local libraries or wherever books are sold.
